Gamboa needs to improve his defensive strategy. Great smaller opponents can find that chin just the same as Crawford.

He was dumb for moving up in the first place. He fought a really good and game fight against Crawford, but he looked 2 weight classes smaller. He was the best in the world at 126 when he was there, and if he can make it again without killing himself he probably still would be. At 130 I think he could beat everyone but Mikey Garcia, and he would have a shot in that one but again size would be an issue.

They can find it, but against smaller guys his power would matter more. The stuff he was landing early on Crawford probably stops most 126's and really badly hurts if not stops most 130's. His problem at 135 wasn't his defense, it was his lack of size and height. The only way he could hit Crawford was to jump in and take risks.

good move. tought he was too small for 135. Crawfor fight showed his power isnt going to be effective at the weight. Hoepfully he can make big fights at 126/130 and not have to go to 135 just for big paydays.
