Amir Khan: ''I didn't beat nobody up.''

Just heard Khan saying that on skynews.

''I didn't beat nobody up, I barely slapped one of them cause they were causing a lot of trouble, people tend to believe whatever gets printed, a lot of stuff regarding me gets blown out of proportion''.

Sounds about right in the UK. The masses lap up all those glorified tabloid stories, and they absolutely love it. This enables the tabloids to basically say what they want about anyone. Happens all the time.

That quote doesn't sound legit. Saying he "barely slapped" someone is assault and Khan's hands are legally viewed as weapons.

      Need video OP.

He did say that and slapping someone is not exactly ''beating'' or assaulting. They probably deserved a slap or 2 anyway and when they got what they deserved they went to the police to cry their hearts out.

              Double negative.

So what he said was In fact that he did beat somebody up.

It falls under the legal definition of assault. I'm surprised he would admit to it on television. Like I said above, as a professional boxer, his hands are treated as weapons.

Not if it's in self-defense from a perceived threat, Haye got away with bottling Chisora for that reason without criminal charges.

Haye actually got away via the airport.
