  • Comments Thread For: Soliman: Geale Can Definitely Outbox, Beat Golovkin

IBF middleweight champion Sam Soliman will be an interested party in the upcoming HBO televised fight between WBA/IBO middleweight king Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26KOs) and former two-time champion Daniel Geale (30-2, 16KOs), which takes place on July 26th at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Soliman says if Geale continues to move, and doesn't do anything careless in the ring to put himself in harm's way by standing in front of Golovkin, he can box his way to victory. Soliman, fresh from his big decision victory over Felix Sturm, is hoping to face the Golovkin-Geale winner next. If Geale gets the upset, a unification with Soliman would be a huge fight for Australian boxing.

"If we see the fast moving Geale and the hard punching Geale at his best then he can definitely win the fight,’
Geale? Hard punching? Yeah, ok then Soliman, you mong.

I don't think we'll see a KO here. Once Geale tastes Golovkin's power, he'll be on his bike the rest of the fight.

I'd love to see GGG vs. Soliman. We could see a KO ending similar to pac vs. lucero the way soliman lunges with his punches

Sam Soliman knows his boxing! WAR GAELE! GGG's never been in with a fighter like Geale, Gennady's in for a rude awakening on July 26th.

Yeah, and Simon says if my auntie had a beard she'd be my uncle.

After GGG caves Geale's skull in, Soliman can receive his 12th loss by brutal KO if he wants it.

Dude you need to start backing up your other accent sharing contender in Joseph Parker, granted he's a Kiwi but it's as close as it gets!

Geale will be in survival mode after he tastes his real punch in that fight.

I'm in agreement with Soliman that he has the right pace and style for the task, but can he be durable enough...GGG likes to bomb that liver
