That was an unfair early stoppage.

Fres has hung in there with good heavyweights and never really been KOed. But he never "turns it up" when he needs to, he goes into a defensive shell and doesn't throw enough.

Check out beginning @ 6:05. Looks like a KO to me. Oquendo could hardly stand after the stoppage.

Fres couldn't get into the country because of visa issues but they sorted them out. Thank god because he was gonna fight Briggs instead.

That one lists three different reasons (passport, promoter dispute, family issues).

I think in summary Oquendo just left a lot of crap until the last minute that should have been done weeks prior, but it's back on.

I hoped he would have fought Briggs, that would have been much more interesting and a more dangerous Opponent for Chagaev. Briggs is in shape and can go 12 rounds again.
