Comments Thread For: Danny Jacobs is Open To Facing Gennady Golovkin

On August 9th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Daniel Jacobs (27-1, 24KOs) will face Jarrod Fletcher (18-1, 10KOs) in a Showtime televised clash for the vacant WBA 'regular' middleweight title.

If Jacobs is successful, he wants to face the best boxers at his weight - including the WBA's super champion, Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26KOs). On July 26th at New York's Madison Square Garden, Golovkin will defend the IBO/WBA titles against former two-time champion Daniel Geale.

Hopefully the WBA orders it so it can go to purse bid. I wouldn't mind seeing GGG vs Jacobs.

So a guy getting softer touches would be a test for a guy you said fights soft touches... his best step up was against a guy that was also seen to be fighting soft touches... and Danny died in the ring

Why do you make such obscene claims?

If he takes this fight his new name will be Danny " Cotto" Jacobs

I'd rather see Jacobs/Fletcher fight Cotto at 160lbs no catchweight involved If Cotto wants to keep that WBC belt and remain at MW he can take that fight before he fights GGG.

Those two guys aren't ready for GGG neither is Cotto yet to be fair.

I reckon Golovkin will fight once more after Geale hopefully if he gets the win he might get a big name but yeah...
Quillin is a ***** we all know he will price himself out.
