But the Herrera fight was meant to be a showcase for Garcia like this fight tonight....but Herrera won and Garcia got a gift. So they made another showcase fight tonight against someone where it was impossible to go wrong again.

IRRC, Mayweather wanted more money. DLH was getting the lion's share again, Floyd felt the 2.4 mill PPV's sold was attributed by him as well as Oscar. He had a point though, considering he did it again with Canelo and sold monster PPV events with Cotto and Mosley. Plus I don't think you were around at the time, or else you would have known the disgust people had at talk of a rematch, no one wanted to see that. They were still bitter at the first one not living up to it's hype.

I agree.....but they purposely avoided the Harrera rematch because of what happened the first time around. Danny even had to self-promote during the post fight interview to cover up the fact that he had an easy touch tonight.
