This fight will do better than Saul vs Angulo because Nelo is not a big favorite to win and undercard is okay, but if they keep trying to shove this "ppv star Canelo" down our throats, then no way can they keep him at 154 for his whole career like Nelo wants to do..the ppv numbers will do well from here on out ONLY if he moves up to where he belongs and fight bigger dangerous fighters....

there is still some fights that can be made after lara at 154, cotto, kirkland, floyd2 or even pac on 2015 and maybe even thurman, andrade and the charlos on 2016..
sadly right now there is less options at 160...

This is the same way I feel. They are riding on Canelo's popularity to sell this fight. This is really not a PPV event. Lara is really unknown to the mases

If it does better than Cotto vs Martinez then it is a WIN for Showtime and GBP I guess but I don't expect big numbers, if it does better than 500k that is a Success.

Not much promotion away from Showtime for this fight though, at least not yet, I guess they will start running ads days before the fight.

Also boxing sparks up NO TYPE of Public Conversations, people talk American Football and Basketball at least her in the US during Lunch Break but NOBODY is talking boxing unless it about Pacquiao or Mayweather.

I'm have mexican abd i dont believe this abd i attack My black side of they say dumb shhhh...canelo is not a ppv draw people will buy cheap tickets or shhhh off groupon for a deal but hrs no draw on Tv...people will pay for this fight not because he's a draw but its his first real match and Lara is a beast. 2nd you can't compare 350,000 and 850,000 and say Floyd's a failure...he almost tripled him and PAC on his worst fights... You haters kill me. Spanish people as all fan are very important but if they were the major draw 2 Mexicans fighting or Latino would have big ppv numbers but they only have big numbers if a black champ is involved ...2 mexican have never broke a mil...maybe once with a Latino and he probably was Cotto or Trinidad

Dude, who cares? I hope they all tank so we can start getting fights back on Sho/HBO. Getting killed on boxing costs this year. From HBO and Sho subscriptions to PPV's...

I hope this fight tanks! And I'm a huge Canelo fan.
