I've seen enough of Kovalev that, while a serious competitor, I believe he's ripe to be Hopkinated*.

I currently have £30 ($45) on Hopkins, and am planning to put on £30 more. With things like the Cloud and Moby fights, Mr. Hopkins has done well for my bank balance these last few years.

Kovalev's best chance of winning this is if he jumps on Hops and doesn't let go, just keeps punching, hitting arms, elbows, shoulders, eventually Hops will get broken down. No matter how great he is or how smart he is, Hopkins is still 49 years old and with how hard Kovalev hits, he should get hurt.

But if Kovalev shows too much respect, if he hesitates, if he throws big shots but throws them rarely, Hops will find a way to win.

....and punch himself out? Kovalev hasn't been passed round 8 and unless he has some super stamina if Kovalev goes out hard letting his hands go like crazy, if Hop survives the early rounds Kovalev will be in a lot of trouble.

Hopkins is going to take Kovawhatshisname into deep waters and drown him. Expect Kovalev to get cut early, punching air all night and his punch output dropping after getting hit with multiple clean counters. Bernard should retire on the win, but Stevenson can get some too if he wants.

Kovalev being ducked by Team Hopkins last summer is very unfortunate for Hopkins. He is going to feel the full wrath of Krusher on November 8th. The thing that sucks for Hop is that he can't even outbox Kovalev. Kovalev is the better boxer as well. Expect him to look for a way out as early as the first round, as soon as he realizes he's never fought a fighter similar to Kovalev before.
