All you had to do was watch the Hopkins pre-fight HBO interview to see the misguided stereotype Kovalev was being viewed as.

I think this performance is better than an early KO. He needed to show that he could go 12 against someone of B-Hop's caliber. He fought as composed as he possibly could, gave B-Hop little to work with and just kept throwing. He was the aggressor, but still found countering opportunities. He stunned B-Hop multiple times and then emptied the gas tank in the 12th trying to get him outta there. That might be my favorite 12th round since Chavez/Martinez.
