Devon Alexander says he'll fight Thurman, why is Thurman not stepping up?

    you're right, he should wait around for people to mention his name so he can respond, it's not like he has other things to do.

    he has already said he'd fight Alexander numerous times, including in the link I posted. ignore that though.

      Alexander sounds like more of a back paddle but I don't see too many people giving Thurman a shot right now.

              Keith Thurman doesn't negotiate Keith Thurman's fights he just pens his John Han**** when it's done N ready.

                How the hell can Alexander not be a step up when Thurman hasn't even beaten a C-class fighter yet? If he wants titles, he has to prove himself worthy of fighting for a title. So far, he has proven nothing. Alexander, Guerrero and Khan are all available. However, Thurman will probably fight Victor Ortiz in his next fight.

                  I don't know where you got this information from, but you know damn well this is not true. Thurman hasn't even made a $1 million purse yet and you know damn well that neither he nor Alexander are worth $1.9 million.

                      With the Mayweather vs. Maidana rematch confirmed and Porter fighting Brook, I'd say Alexander is pretty much the best option available for Thurman at this moment...but who knows when it could happen?
