Hopkins has little reason to lie about wanting to fight kovalev at this point

If he's not lying, he's wrong about Kovalev ducking him. Showtime didn't want it, Golden Boy didn't want it, HBO didn't want it I don't think, no one was willing to make the fight happen.

O hell yeah. Hopkins/kovalev would be a great great fight two of the best who aren't scared to fight each other unlike that Canadian guy. Plus would bring gbp back to hbo, and find out whose best at 175 win win for everybody

This below. A while back Hopkins said he wanted the fight with Kovalev which is fine but then he tried to make It look like Kovalev ducked him. Which was false.

Claiming that Kovalev ducked him to fight Cleverly.

Its not that he's lying about wanting to fight Kovalev. Im sure he does. But hes doing all this to promote himself. So he can pull the same crap he tried to before (acting like Kovalev ducked him).

I dont have anything against Hopkins. I used to dislike him but he has earned my respect and I admire what he has done and his dedication.

If he can't fight Stevenson, only other guy he can fight instead of fighting Mohammadi... is Kovalev.

Hopkins is truly an inspirational. I was in bed ready to go sleep but I am going to do a few rounds with the heavybag after reading this story. Truly remarkable by Hopkins.
