This is sad! It looks like Garcia is being protected because his last performance was horrendous. That's why I was mad when Roach suggested Garcia as an opponent for Pacquiao. Garcia should've fought Peterson to unify the belts, or moved up to fight a WW. If this was a test a WW, with someone like Paulie, it wouldn't be so bad. But if you're going to fight a Jr. WW, it should be a belt-holder.

In fairness I think Herrera showed ppl that he's not a bum. We kinda ****ted on him but he proved to be a fought fighter. This fight though is garbage. Al worked Showtime over lovely getting them to pay danny million dollars for this.

Yesterday Golden Boy Promotions and Showtime announced that WBC/WBA super lightweight "champion" Danny “Swift” Garcia was facing “Lightning” Rod Salka (19-3, 3 KOs) topping a world championship tripleheader on August 9 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. However, on their website today, the WBC announced that Garcia would be facing Gabriel Bracero (23-1, 4 KOs) on August 9.

Barcero is rated #13 by the WBC and not rated by the WBA.

Salka is not currently rated by either the WBC or WBA. He has been a lightweight most of his career and is currently the WBC FECARBOX lightweight titleholder.
