Of course he'd fight Cotto -- that's probably the only "middleweight" he'd fight and they'd do it at a catchweight of 156/7.
Rumors: Canelo at 170 and Not Training Properly

He just needs to restrict his sodium intake, lose maybe 2lbs of fat and dehydrate the rest of the weight off.Comment

These rumors are ridiculous. Canelo knows how to train and put off the weight. Besides the Mayweather fight, this is the biggest fight of his career. This is the fight that will prove if Canelo is the real deal. Slacking off isn't a good idea and maybe these rumors are just a way to get Canelo off his game.Comment

Depends. If this is true and he makes weight then possible. But if he doesn't make the weight and says **** it then no.
What?! That doesn't sound normal or healthy.
he'd look to hit and maintain a certain weight for the week of the fight, which will involve eating light and running. as the weigh in approaches, he'd skip a few meals / eat light, limit his water intake, and perhaps even jump on a treadmill with a sweat suit on the actual day of the weigh in.) muscles.
You don't think it would do higher? I guess after the Angulo and Martinez fight they should take whatever they can get above 500k.Comment

Canelo took the fight to shut Lara up and showing his fans he is ducking nobody, this is his first fight that is kind of personal, no way in hell that BS is true (the not take it seriously part)...its coming from some random mexican Canelo-nuthugger that knows that Canelos chances to win are not that big how some people wish they are, so these people can take this as an excuse.Last edited by WesleySnipes; 07-02-2014, 03:26 PM.Comment
