I'm a huge Canelo fan and this makes zero sense. If he beats Lara (at 155 mind you) and virtually cleaned out the division then there is no point to stay at a weight that he can't even make!

I like the idea of him wanting to stay in 154, it gives a chance for him to fight Pac and a few other fighters I wanna see him fight. But he cant even make 154 and need a 155 catch weight.

"IF" Canelo somehow manages to find a way to beat Lara then he very well should indeed move up to MW cause other than Cotto and a rematch with Floyd who else is there at 154? Another belt at a higher weight class would look good on his resume. Only he and his trainer can tell what his body can and can't handle, if they know for a fact that MW would spell doom and gloom then just stay below. MW does have a new cropping of potential opponents should he step in those waters too (tough opponents I might add).
