Keith Thurman has neither fought nor beaten a quality opponent and some of you are already anointing him as the greatest fighter to come along since Muhammad Ali. This nuthugging is based on the idea that others in the division are avoiding him. I have news for you. Nobody is avoiding Thurman. Schafer has done a damn good job of protecting him and giving the dumb fans the impression that he is fighting bums because the best fighters refuse to get in the ring with him.

Fans should demand that Thurman fight a decent opponent before he gets in the ring with Mayweather. I can think of three off the top of my head -- Alexander, Guerrero, Khan. Hell, I would even settle for Zab Judah at this point.

Guerrero is terrified of Thurman. Khan most likely looking to fight somebody with a name, Alexander is a good option.

Quintana, Chaves and Karass are better opponents than Judah at this stage of his career.
