Former champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs) is looking forward to teaching Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs) a big lesson on July 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Canelo-Lara is happening at a catch-weight of 155-pounds and Lara's WBA 'regular' junior middleweight title is not at stake. Canelo denies Lara's claims that he's struggling with weight, he doesn't have interest in Lara's title, because he regards Floyd Mayweather Jr. as the real WBA champion at 154.
"I'm giving him the opportunity because he talked a lot of trash, through the media, through social media and Twitter, but he is a good 154-pound fighter - I'll give him credit for that, but this fight is more about glory and honor for me," Canelo said. [Click Here To Read More]
