Sparks flew at today's press conference as Michael Katsidis and Graham Earl locked horns and flew into a scuffle as they were posing for a photo with the WBU World title belt they are fighting for. Tempers boiled after a war of words on the microphone between the arch enemies as Earl made his intentions clear earlier in his speech stating, "I don't care about the belt, I've won titles before, I just want to beat Katsidis here and make the trilogy back home in Luton. I was winning the first fight, and he (Katsidis) looked relieved when the fight was stopped." I wish Katisidis would have been the champ. It's funny because I rooted for Casamayor when they fought, but now I would have loved for Katisidis to have been the man.

That fight was the first time seeing katsidis fight and once i saw his entrance i wanted him to win he came out like one of them warriors from the old days. I wish he would have became a champ the dude always came to fight

Says everything about the WBU that it's putting up its "World Championship" belt for a fight between two brave but shot fighters, very shot in Earl's case. They had a rousing fight some years back but matching them again in 2014 does nothing good for the image of the sport.
