I wonder why Binkow is only being hired as a "Consultant" considering he was just COO of GBP.

Clearly Binkow has no faith in Mayweather Promotions to last as a real company, just trying to get some of that consulting fees.

Binkow is being hired as a consultant, as I see it, because as such, he can work with whatever promotions that he's interested in working with and help them with the logistics of putting on big events, the work he was already doing at Golden Boy Promotions.

Rather than be locked in with one company, he can help Ellerbe(Mayweather Promotions), GoosenTutor, DiBella, Shaw, Banner Promotions or any other promotion, when they are putting on true spectacles, "make sure that the trains are running".

Why Mayweather would consider fight Maidana who fought dirty and disrespected him before and after the fight? I would not give him another big payday. There are other exciting fights for Mayweather. Tell Hoya to rent PAC from Arum since they're in good graces.

... because Arum is never going to put Pacquiao into a fight where he doesn't control options on both fighters. Same reason why Alvarez vs. Pacquiao is never going to happen; 'Canelo' has a sharp enough team around him that they're not going to let Arum lock in six future options on his for the fight.

Maidana fought dirty and disrespected Floyd, before and after the fight ... but the fight ended up being pretty compelling (had it 8-4 Mayweather myself, but whatever), and there was enough "controversy"/drama to have the Mexican and Mexican American fight fan 1)throwing their support behind the Argentine and 2)interested in paying to see the fight again.

Um, hes already made the request to defend both of the titles in the same night, Its been done before, and just as Arum was discussing Bradley moving up to 154 to fight for the Middleweight championship against Cotto, Mayweather could very well do the same, whether or not it happens is another issue but its certainly possible.
