    Got nobody else to fight.

I'm not a fan of the rematch... I thought Floyd beat him and there wan't really much dispute.

    • They really should have fed Maidana to Swift to set up Mayweather-Garcia.

It really has nothing to do with that - literally every Maidana fan knows he is not the "better" fighter. It's about $$, I support plenty of MAyweather fights and I didn't like that ****.

Maidana's boxing IQ isn't even close to Mayweather's. That's why Floyd won the second half of the fight and why most think that Floyd will adjust further in the rematch. The only thing that bothered Floyd (other than the illegal ****), was Maidana's OUTPUT. If Chino goes from throwing 100 punches a round, to 50-60 in the rematch (settling down, as you put it), do you seriously think Floyd will have a harder time countering?
He landed head shots on Floyd in the center of the ring and on the ropes. More so than anyone else I can name in recent memory. It's not a stretch to say Maidana will come in more relaxed with the same or better output and make his shots he does land count more.

The thing about Maidana is he smothered much of his work in his eagerness to touch Floyd.. If he merely took a half step back that would give Maidana much more leverage and damaging capability. It's really a matter of finding his range.. He was landing jabs and overhand rights in the center of the ring throughout the fight and even one short left hook in the 12th in an exchange. He merely needs to relax a bit.. find his range.. and throw in combinations in the center of the ring once he manages to "touch" Floyd with a jab or overhand right. Keep the on the ropes work as well that is effective as PART of the gameplan, but should not be the plan A-Z in a rematch. The plan in a rematch should be to use what was learned and build upon it.

Also re hydrating 20 lbs is gonna kill your stamina.. come in lighter and more fit.

Robert is a smart guy and Maidana is a very capable fighter..I'm sure they see all this and more when they review the tape and do analysis

But the sizes can be waived if both fighters agree. Floyd wanted to wear 8s, Cotto declined. As did DLH. Neither of which have a gotdamn thing to do with that bull**** you posted. Like I said
Wow really... What I posted was about the gloves... After you had mentioned that cotto made mayweather wear different gloves. I posted the reason for it and you said that you dont give a f**k. Either way. Go back and read it again.

when you analyze the style matchup for Danny, Salka is a much harder fight than Maidana. Maidana's very hittable glass chin and soft body wouldn't hold up for 12 rounds under Danny's power. Rod Salka will try and use Herrera's approach and not let Danny set his feet. Maidana would get himself timed by a killer no-look left hook. He's been dropped and hurt by the likes of Khan and Lopez, so there's no denying he'd get KTFO'd by Swift.

Were they CLEAN, effective punches, or rabbit punches and kidney shots? lol. So according to you, Chino is capable of "relaxing" and keeping the same output from the first fight whilst punching harder? Given the fact that Floyd swept the last half of the fight, what makes you think Maidana will improve anything?

Chino "smothered" his work because that was the game-plan. Get Floyd to the ropes, rough him up and throw bombs. He did all of this, yet failed to hurt Floyd (despite the weight advantage), much less hit him clean. Btw, the fact that you have to point to a SINGLE landed punch by Maidana kinda betrays your "Maidana hit him with more headshots than anyone in recent history" theory.

The Maidana that's capable of following your "plan" exists nowhere but your imagination. The fact you think he can suddenly outbox the best boxer on the planet, says more about you than anything. You think he's capable of beating Floyd in the middle of the ring? Whatever you say. Once Floyd made his adjustments, Maidana was completely neutralized. What makes you think that Floyd won't adjust to whatever gameplan Chino brings to the rematch?

                    • Maidana would beat the dog **** outta Danny Herrera. Herrera's son is a complete joke and an embarrassment to Philly.
