    Barthelemy vs. mendez

Two days before Laras fight, my paisano from el Reparto Poey en la Habana will be facing the dominican Mendez, this is a very important fight because I see these two moving up in weight soon, 130-140 is loaded and the Cuban is tall and young enough to fill his almost 6' frame, hoping for another KO, this time legal... Dale paisano.

Rances is one of my favorite current boxers so I'm hoping he wins it legit this time. I'd like to see him go up to 135 some time soon. Then ease into the 140 lb division

I like Barthelemy in the rematch. The NSB Cuban Mafia will be in attendance.

Barthelemy should win, but it won't be easy, and not shocking if Mendez pulls it out

Many feel Mendez will have a better night. He was hurt early in the first fight and possibly never recovered from the early onslaught. I still feel Barthelemy will make easy work and recapture.

I want it to go but I haven't decide just yet, I had a big surgery a couple of weeks ago and I really don't know if I'm up to the excitement outside my home, I went to see him at the doubletree but he is a different fighter now, he sits on his punches and uses his height and athleticism more, I was born in Guanabacoa but grew up where they were born, tough neiborghood, those kids are hungry...

Que te mejores. My step father was from Guanabacoa, not an easy neighborhood from what I've heard growing up. He was a pitcher for los Metropolitanos years ago.
