  • Comments Thread For: Martin Murray Eyes Miguel Cotto, Confident of Win

Britain's WBC silver middleweight champion, Martin Murray (28-1-1, 12KOs), is enjoying a period of rest with his family before he decides his next step...but it's likely going to be a giant one.

On June 21st he defeated, Max Bursak, by unanimous decision in a great fight held in Monte Carlo, Monaco, conquering the WBC silver belt. Murray, aged 33, wants to fight for the full WBC Title, which is in the grasp of Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs), and the British fighter is sure that he can defeat him.

I would resent Cotto forever if Murray got to fight him instead of Golovkin. Thankfully I know it won't happen.

*** MURRAY! He's so busy ducking GG then all of a sudden LMW becomes MW champion and he's interested in fighting.

I think Murray can take him in a game of checkers as well as a boxing match. Great question though.
