Can't wait until Lara schools Canelo and shows him how it is really done coming from a real school of boxing where people are taught skills and not sloppy boxing. A school where the best fight the best and don't get to fight tomato cans and cabbies and given belts just to hype them up. Once Lara finishes with him Canelo will wish he never crossed the border and decided to fight real fighters.

WOW!!! Canelo is so brave and such a tough fighter. He only fought 30 something tomato cans and cabbies in Mexico before fighting real opposition. But now look at him, he is fighting real fighters. He lost to Floyd in an embarrassing manner, was gifted a decision against Trout and beat an Angulo who didn't even look like himself. And with all of Canelo's power, he couldn't manage to hurt Angulo who was a stationary human punching bag. If the fight hadn't been stopped, Angulo would of kept taking his punches. Get out of here!Comment

You do realize that canelo turned pro at 15.. Of course he fought a lot of soft touches early but since he hit main event status he has fought nothing but top level guys..
So your point is pretty meaningless and pointless..
Canelo is tested, him fighting bums early in his career has no bearing on this fightComment

Ok, so did it not show when he fought Floyd and Trout? Cause those are the two best fighters he has fought up to date. In fact it showed up with Matthew Hatton and Jose Miguel Cotto. Lara has been fighting since he was 12 and with the best of the best. He didn't get any soft touches then and he hasn't gotten much in his pro career. You do realize that canelo turned pro at 15.. Would you admit it had a bearing on the mayweather fight? You do realize that canelo turned pro at 15.. Of course he fought a lot of soft touches early but since he hit main event status he has fought nothing but top level guys..

Look at the Loma vs Russell fight...Loma beat him in his 3rd fight compared to Russell's 24 fights but I guess it had nothing to do with Loma fighting world class opposition in the amateurs. I guess Loma would've been better of fighting nobodies!!
Now I see your pointComment

I get what you guys are saying, and yeah canelo was alittle green vs trout and Floyd and he went 1-1 vs them.. Floyd embarrasses nearly everyone so it was def a learning experience..
I think if Lara wins it will be because he was better not because canelo is green or has just fought bums..
If canelo can keep his work rate and punch output high, then he should be Lara, but if he falls into a boxing match like he did vs trout, Floyd, then I think he loses a decision..
I personally don't think Lara is on a Floyd/rigo/ward level.. He fights down to his competition nearly every time, and there isn't anything in his resume that makes me think he is gonna school canelo like Floyd did, or rigo did donaire..
If angulo, Williams, vanes, etc were able to land on Lara, i don't see why canelo can't, and he is a better puncher than all those guys. Molina outboxed Lara, and Lara was lucky to escape with a draw..
I think canelo-Lara is a very even fight between 2 contrasting styles and it will comedown to how active canelo is with his hands..Comment

I see your points they are very valid. Lara has been known to fight down to his opponents level and did get caught by a game Angulo. I just think that Lara in his last fight did not fight down to his opponents level and outclassed a game Trout. I don't believe in triangle theories and will not make the Trout/Angulo comparisons for both Lara and Canelo but the point I am trying to make is that Lara will carry this momentum over to his fight with Canelo and just put on a great performance. I think Lara will outbox Canelo and who knows maybe even hurt him like he did with Angulo and Trout.I get what you guys are saying, and yeah canelo was alittle green vs trout and Floyd and he went 1-1 vs them..
