He won't outbox Lara, and Canelos stamina always lets him down as the fight gets into the late rounds, in the Angulo fight he looked a bit tired in round 5/6, and that's with Angulo standing in front of him all night.
      I beg to disagree.

Canelo threw alot on punches against Angulo, with full power on them. Of course his workrate has a little down in those late rounds, but that's acceptable, he threw alot in those five first rounds. I don't think his stamina looked that bad in that particular fight. It might let him down against Lara, because he will be chasing the guy all over the ring, he needs to work that jab to pin Lara against the ropes and go to the body. He should think "Body only" for the first three rounds of the fight.

Canelos workrate drops reguardless of who he's fighting. By round 5-6 he starts to tire and by 9/10 he's gassed.

Coming in as heavy as he will won't help him against Lara either.

Of course Williams is taller than Canelo, and I think Angulo is taller than him too, but I don't think those guys are bigger than Canelo mass-wise, or stronger. Williams and Angulo look weird in their fights, all bird chested and s**t, whereas Canelo is built like a tank. And Angulo had some success when Lara let him inside.

What I'm saying is I think Canelo should lean on, grab, bear hug, and put his weight on Lara for the first four rounds. I think that will take some energy out of Lara. Canelo needs to be rough, but he always tries to be finesse and box, which doesn't fit his body type.

Only way Canelo will be bigger is if he re-hydrates to a higher weight fight night, but i dont remember what they usually re-hydrate to right now. FIght night will tell all.
I mean bigger as in mass-wise, and also stronger. Canelo is built like a tank and Lara has a more athletic build. It makes more sense for the stronger fighter (Canelo) to be rough, lean on, and bear hug the weaker fighter. Judging by the pics, it looks like Lara is preparing well for that.

You're forgetting one thing, the more work Canelo does the faster he will gas.

Probably he is just working on his clinching because his inside game is still on its way from amazon. I remember thinking that same way you are now, on what he would do to Mayweather who is smaller than also Lara but never did and not only that but was getting defensive around the seventh matter of fact that fight had very little clinching because Canelo was, for some weird ungodly reason trying to outbox Mayweathe, and at a distance no less. Chepo should have slapped him in the corner the second he started trying to do that.
