he did duck a few fighters though like glen johnson (3 times) so he didn't beat all "comers".. they had a fight scheduled back in 2004 but calzaghe backed out.. and then he backed out again another few times.. johnson has always been pissed about that.. check the interviews.

actually jermain taylor did since hopkins was a middleweight almost his entire career. jermain taylor is clearly the greatest champion ever. calzaghe is close though and i'm happy that he is training gary russell jr for greatness.

Joe is the toughest fighter that ever lived. I have him ranked 12th on my ATG list.

The fact that I have to decide whether someone posted this thread to be a troll or not clearly defines Calzaghe's legacy. If you think he is one of the P4P best then you are an idiot. Simple as that. Styles make fights and yes he beat an over 40 year old Hopkins and a far from prime Roy Jones. Not to mention he is weak as **** and his arm punches make Khans look like hard power shots

You have got to be kidding me! Jermain Taylor? Hopkins is barely in the top 10 p4p best middleweights. Roy Jones, B-hop, Carlos Monzon, Marvin Hagler, James Toney, Ray Robinson, Gene Fullmer, Jake Lamotta are all ranked higher

Hopkins was a very good win for Joe but Hopkins was not nearly at his best at 40 something. No fighter is at his best at that age. Hopkins at his best beats Joe. Jones at his best beats Joe. Joe was a great fighter with an undefeated record but you are getting carried away over him. The prime Calzaghe was not as good as the prime Jones or prime Hopkins in my opinion.
