    Peek A Boo style

There are extremely few fighters who know this style. From what I know when I met Kevin (Rooney) was that there are really only 3 people schooled to teach it, which are Rooney himself, Joey Hadley and Teddy Atlas. Anyone else are just people that studied tapes. But from Cus himself, those are the only 3 I know of that actually teach that style.

The high guard is always confused with the peekaboo style for some reason. It is not. A high guard is a high guard. It's a crime when commentators and analysts say a fighter is using the peekaboo style when in actuality iTS just a high guard. There are very few fighters who learned it. Anything else is just the high guard folks.

To answer your question in the other thread I would say tyson Patterson and torres were best students of the peekaboo from Cus

I just found this footage in the 70s. Ali sparring Torres! Of course Torres has been retired, but it was for the Frazier fight.
Torres says he's the fastest human being he's ever seen in the ring. Even drops that in a film study frame-by-frame that Ali has a faster jab than Sugar Ray Robinson apparently.

You sure Rooney isn't full of ****? I've always felt he tried to take more credit for everything than He deserved.

He did a probation/rehab stint at my boxing gym years ago, after getting in trouble for something alcohol related. I didn't really care much for him.

Well he definitely had his moments but he was pretty square this time. This was a couple years back when (you're familiar with this) those Serrano sisters were at the gym in ridgewood. So what like 5, 6 years ago?
