Comments Thread For: Salido's Return Eyed For 8/30, Miura Clash on 10/11

Former champion Orlando Salido (41-12-2, 28KOs) is likely going to return on August 30th in Hermosillo, Mexico. Salido's last fight came against two-time Olympic gold medal winner Vasyl Lomachenko, where the Mexican veteran won an unexpected twelve round split decision to prevent the rising sensation from winning the WBO crown in his second pro fight.

I've read that the October Singapore card could feature some of the lesser seen Korean fighters including former OPBF champion Min Wook Kim and the sensationally exciting Ja Ik Goo. Would be great if all the rumours come true as that would be a mega show.

Miura likes to brawl, Salido is a natural born slugger who is very hard to beat in a war (just ask Juanma and Guerrero). There are two unknowns however:
          1) How much does Salido have left in the tank?
          2) His power/punch resistance at 130
I like Salido so I'm really looking forward to that fight. It should be exciting.

I want to agree, but he did beat Lomachenko. Even if Salido was weight drained and got tired late. Is Miura better than Lomachenko?

Styles make fights and Miura's style and power is a nightmare for anyone.

It's amazing just how much talent there is in Japan at 130 right now. You have the Takashi's, Daiki Kaneko, Masao Nakamura and Rikki Naito.
