I would rather watch last night's affair anyday of the week over any fight with involving Carl Froch.

Last night was the definition of the reason I watch boxing. Two skilled guys giving their all, movement, speed, counter punching, accuracy, power, and heart.

    Just beautiful.

    It depends.

Would you consider fights like Barrera vs. Morales and Vazquez vs. Marquez brawls or fire fights between two skilled fighters?

They were brawli you **** stick watch rounds 5-9 again. It doesn't take someone "highly skilled" to square up and swing for the fences!

Isn't a brawler a fighter that throws everything and anything and more often than not excel on the inside? Seeing as how most technical fighters fight from the outside and shy away from the phone booth I think "brawling" actually requires more skill than what it's normally perceived. Anyway a fight between two truly high leveled boxers is a mind game and only purist of the sport don't fall asleep during one, brawling on the other hand is just as technical when in the phone booth and more flashy and eye catching for the casuals. Meh, I enjoy both.

It was exciting because they were constantly in one another's punching range.

I've enjoyed two great match ups on back to back weekends first Russell vs Lomo then we get Crawford vs Gamboa.

two skilled boxers with KO power always make the best fights. slow-footed sluggers with little technique or highly technical boxers with no pop are way less exciting.

lol it only got good because it turned into a brawl, Gamboa got hurt and said "fcuk it" (much like Froch) and Crawford didn't back down.

If you want to talk about skilled fighters going at it in a boxing match, Lomachenko v Russell is more your cup of tea.
