Boxing could use some more of that. Building up local stars so that they have a passionate, engaged hometown following is healthy for the sport.
I couldn't agree more. That was the most enthusiastic crowd I've seen in a long time. Over 10,000 loyal fans on their feet and cheering their man on. Great for the sport of boxing! Cong**** to all involved in bringing the fight to Omaha.

If he gets a swollen head over this it will be his downfall. The guy definitely has some serious talent, but what happens with a guy his size who can take his punch? Let him take on Mikey Garcia or some of the top 40-47 guys. I'm certainly not gonna become his disciple just from him beating a way smaller guy who has a weak defense, and especially since the smaller Gamboa wobbled the bigger Crawford a couple times in there.

One thing for sure, we have 2 great fights on the horizon. Crawford's next defense and Gamboa's comeback fight. Both should tell a he!!uva lot about each of them.

Crowford won his fight but Im not impressed of him. He is slow and without defense. The problem is Gamboa can't punch at this weight because he is not a 135 pound fighter. I'm sure that a real 135 with Gamboa skills can easily beat Crowford. Gamboa hit him easily for 5 rounds but not affected him because at this weight he has not punch power. Anyway is Gamboa's fault to be fighting out of his weight and Crowford won clearly this fight.

Easy to hurt a guy 2 classes below you. I bet a welterweight or JM would kill Crawford. Then he would know what it is like to fight bigger guy.

                Why the insipid morons??

Crawford fought south paw and masterfully out boxed and out powered a talented fighter who the insipid morons picked to TKO an under skilled, slow and powerless Crawford. You people are incredible dummies. Bet you picked Russell to KO Lomachenko, Curtis Stevens to beat GGG, and chicken azz Stevenson to beat Kovalev. Find a new topic to comment on.....like Gay Pride Parade floats

I see him adjusting to Garcia and dropping him. A plodding Martinez dropped Mikey. TC would finish him off. He wouldn't try to run in there and bomb him out. Make the fight.
