Although there have been no talks, Andrzej Fonfara (25-3, 15 KOs) is interested in facing former WBC light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson (32-3, 18 KOs) in the fall. Dawson, the one-time conqueror of Fonfara's countryman, Tomasz Adamek, returned to action last week to blast out George Blades in one round at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. It was Dawson's first win since losing back to back fights to Adonis Stevenson and Andre Ward. Earlier this year Dawson signed with manager Al Haymon.

dawson's reach is just as long. actually, it's half an inch longer.

fonfara's probably an inch taller than dawson. no more.


it's an interesting fight, certainly, but not because of fonfara's length. dawson is big himself.

fonfara's chin, pace, and willingness to come forward make this an interesting fight.

Dawson needs to get below 200 pounds first. He doesn't need to step foot in the ring anywhere near a top 25 guy in 2014. Maybe next year.

Not a bad shout for fonfara, doesnt deserve to go in with Kovalev straightaway after the beating he already took. Though a win over Dawson prob doesnt hold much weight the way hes looking at the moment.
