Hi everybody.

"Boxer gives problem to slugger, slugger gives problem to brawler, and brawler gives problem to boxer".

I dont know where I hear this, I think is something that Cus D'amato said.

But for what i saw, it has a lot of sense. Only with look to Ali (boxer), who had hell of fights against Frazier (brawler), but smokin Joe lost convincingly against Foreman (slugger).

I heard too that for this reason, Mike Tyson never fought old Foreman.

Im thinkin all this this week cause looking forward in Lara-Canelo, I know that the first is pure boxer... but what is Canelo? he slugged a brawler like Angulo, but he boxed against Austin Trout. Maybe here is the key.

EDIT: I have to make aclaration, I always heard like I said, but like other people here down said, maybe I confused definitions (english is not my main language). With brawler I want to say people like Tyson, Frazier (I guess the real term is swarmer). And with slugger I mean people like Foreman, Mayorga, etc.

Slugger and brawler are the same thing.

usually the boxer beats the brawler, the brawler beats the swarmer, the swarmer beats the boxer. of course it doesn't always work, but that's the general theory.

Canelo doesn't really fall into any of those categories, he's a boxer-puncher.
