    Selecting Lighting Rod

Does any one have an idea on how Salka was even chosen?

How do these things happen and who approves them?

How does someone who doesn't even fight in the same weight class, let alone not even in the top 20 of their division, get a title shot at the supposed number 1 man in his weight division?

Is there a formula/protocol in choosing an opponent? How does Garcia claim to be moving onto bigger and better things than giving Herrera/Lucas a rematch, only to accept the #77 guy at 135lbs.

Lastly, how did showtime even approve of this? I can remember at the top of the year I was saying why can't we have Danny vs Lamont, and now I'm continuing asking the same question later in the year?

Sorry, I know it's a lot of questions, but these fights (Devon/Karass; Ghost/Kam; Peterson/Set, Garcia/Salka just reminds me of Saturday morning WWF matches, not even Raw is War level or even Sunday night Heat.

Most of the people complaining about it and laughing at it will tune in
If it makes ratings/money these guys will keep doing it, why not?

Here's the protocol you're asking about:
      1. Fighter gets famous
      2. Everyone will now watch fighter fight no matter who his opponent is just to "See how he looks"
      3. Profit

        1. I don't see how a fighter becomes famous fighting guys he's not supposed to. It'd be more of a case if he was fighting these unknowns 3-4 times a year, but 2 fights with guys he shouldn't be fighting, I think his "fame" drops

        2. Everyone who continues watching does no favors to themselves or the sport. I won't be watching any more crap like this.

        3. How does low ratings generate profit

There is a rumour Haymon and GBP are agreeing to run contracts out.

Exploring the theory, I guess it doesn't help GBP to have Garcia, Peterson and Jacobs win big fights then leave GBP.

Angel got drunk and passed out in a Taco Bell bathroom. Salka mopped the floor (as he normally does during his shift) but dragged Angel into the stall to let him sleep it off and didn't tell manager about it or call the cops.

            Team Garcia shows their gratitude.

Except Showtimes ratings have been piss poor as of late. I expect about 650k viewers for this fight.

You are obviously well misinformed and not up to date. They've been doing respectable ratings.

Yea... i'm going to tune in... via stream. If I had a Nielsen box, I'd stream it too. I was interested in going to NY... but I got better stuff to spend my money on
