    What happened to Benavidez Jr?

    He was beating Khan and Porter in sparring and that was like 4 years, haven't heard much about him since

      He is still fighting. Should get a big fight soon.

          Just had a fight a couple of weeks ago. Won easily but his opponent wasn't anything special. Fight was at 150 so he's gonna be in that 154 picture pretty soon. Assuming his hands hold up.

              Guy had unbelievable talent. 3 or 4 years ago I thought he would've been in the p4p picture soon. But he just totally disappeared...

                      Yeah, they're not moving him well at all. Maybe there are issues behind the scenes that we don't know about, I guess there must be, but he's only just started, and he only fought 3 fights in 2012, which is what a typical veteran champion fights now, then 1 in 2013 and two so far this year. Not enough at all.

                      Hopefully he starts to pick things up again this year, because he'll be turning 23 soon. Twenty fights, and a pro for more than four years now. He needs to start fighting more regularly and slowly keep picking up the level.

                          He has glass knuckles that have and possibly will hamper him his entire career.

                              he has a ton of hand problems.


                              he's also not the puncher i once thought he was. he had trouble getting respect last time i saw him fight. maybe that's the hands.


                              he's also only 22 years old.

                                  i remember he got hurt badly by a left hook from some journeyman.
