As far as topic goes, the answer is Messi and not even close.

Look at Uruguays first match then look at them with Suarez, i know hes a loose cannon but that guy probably makes the most impact on his team than any other superstar.
Messi is a superstar with the skills to back it up, he's taking Argentina on his back and his goals are nothing short of amazing.
Ochoa has been a brick wall and countered Neymar's offence along with Brazil and made Croatia look lackluster.
Messi takes my vote.

Neymar has been terrific, he's a totally different player for Brazil as he is allowed to be the main man.
However, Alexis Sanchez gets my vote. Much like Neymar, he is much better on the international stage where he has more freedom.

He played in the opening game in Suarez's place and you saw what he is at this stage, a shadow of what he was. Ultimately that's not a major knock on Forlan, nobody can replace what Suarez brings to that team.

As much as I like Brazil, they are loose at the back and can be sloppy in the middle, Chile's high pressing and constant pressure can be a problem for them. Vidal will be back also which is huge, they missed him badly against Holland.
