BoxingScene.com recently caught up with WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. Kovalev was there to catch the Guerrero-Kamegai fight card that ended up being an early candidate for Fight of the Year Honors.

The undefeated Russian has been linked to WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson for close to a year now. Stevenson just fought last month when he had a tougher than expected fight against Andrzej Fonfara. Even though Stevenson won the fight, he was knocked down and didn't dominate in the manner many expected.
