I would think so. If you flat out own your opponent especially a big name on ppv, then that could give you lots of notice and it can make you Box Office. Cotto is the key to Unlocking Golovkins future as a ppv star.

cotto will duck golovkin which means that ggg is the true Champ.

cotto is looking to fight bradley at 155 . he should vacate the Ring title for making a mockery of the sport.

It can be a transitional fight where GGG can garner a new crop of fans if he wins impressively against a live Cotto. He already has a solid following and the hype machine behind him so a victory over an iconic fighter such as Cotto can very well be his breakthrough shot and lead him to become a PPV Star. Especially if he moves up in weight and gets the bigger names like Chavez Jr and Carl Froch.

I can't see cotto fighting him. Cotto hasn't got a hope in hell of beating GGG and freddie roach surely knows it

I really couldn't see him becoming a full time PPV star in the MW division. For the right fight, yes.

But full-time? obviously not. He doesn't have anywhere near the fanbase Cotto has.
