Now he is fighting a fighter who in my opinion is more technically skilled than Rios. He goes from turning down what could have been a decent payday against a tough come forward opponent to fighting a little known champion who looks to be the most skilled fighter he has ever faced. Poor business choices. Wonder how much he is getting for this fight
Leaving TR was the worst decision for Gamboa

Zombie Rios would have been easy money he should have done at least that fight and then tried to get rid of the leeches taking his money (arena box)never should have listened to the people talking **** in his ear and should have tried to stay in good working relation with top rank all he had to do was explain his situation to them, but then again he aint no rocket scientist or diplomats boxers rarely are. Sometimes people just listen to bad advise. -
Im actually looking forward to Gamboa vs Crawford but for him to accept such a tough challenge after such a long layoff, its just career suicide if he loses, he will be a titleholder if he wins but he could have made some money fighting Rios at a time when he was active.Comment

gamboa has one of the worst fighter attitutdes that why he never was or will be great, he had the potential though. He should have fought rios for 1.5 million, what an idiotComment

Lol... I like Gamboa but what an idiot.
He was offered 1.5 million for the Rios fight.
He got $50 k for his undercard fight on Pacman card.
Good decisions.
I guess this payday to be in the $100-250 k range.
Anyone got the purses ?Comment
