Ricky Burns feels he is ready to add new facets to his fighting when he makes his comeback from losing his world title.

The Scot faces unbeaten Montenegrin Dejan Zlaticanin in an official eliminator for the WBC lightweight title at Braehead Arena, near Glasgow, on Friday.

The 31-year-old switched trainers from Billy Nelson to Tony Sims, relocating his camp to Essex, after losing his WBO belt to American Terence Crawford in March.

And the Coatbridge fighter is keen to put some new ideas into practice.

Burns is a solid fighter with some nice wins but not sure he can beat any of the current crop of elite. Too many guys with styles he would have a problem overcoming.
