Comments Thread For: Fletcher Gives His Take on Golovkin-Geale Clash

Initially the WBA mandated that Gennady Golovkin would have to defend his middleweight strap against Australian Jerrod Fletcher. It was met with derision and ultimately never came about for a myriad of reasons.

Golovkin will instead meet former unified 160-pound champion Daniel Geale on July 26 at Madison Square Garden in New York. While Fletcher squares of against Daniel Jacobs for the vacant WBA "regular" title a couple of weeks later on August 9 a few miles away at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY. [Click Here To Read More]

I wouldn't describe Rosado, Proksa, Adama as come forward guys.

Gabe can be at times. But he prefers to box if he can.

But Geale is the best boxer so far. He's better than Fletcher.

Geale will run for his dear life. The only intrigue in this fight is if it lasts 12 round or not.

I completely agree. Golovkin versus GGG will be an interesting fight.

Indeed - certainly his toughest opponent to date. LOL.

            50Bil on GGG over Golovkin.

I've never really watched Geale box and move. He always seems to be in range working in the bouts I saw.

                Really active with jittery movement

so flurry & move, rinse and repeat? could work for a while against Golovkin who takes time to set up his punches, but you'd have to think he gets caught with a big shot at some point over the 12.
