Pulev's jab doesn't have the sledgehammer-like power of Wladimir's, but it's certainly been a good enough weapon to trouble huge men like Dimitrenko and Ustinov at bay. Granted, those guys were shit and Wladimir is top class, but who's jab isn't inferior to Wladimir's right now?

There's two things going in Pulev's favor in this fight:

      1. He's a very accomplished and versatile heavyweight who fights very relaxed and can adapt to the style of his challenger during the fight.

      2. Wlad is only human and has to be a bit jaded after such easy wins over mostly marginal fighters like Leapai and Pianeta. He's been taking the easy road in his non-mandatories with guys like Pianeta and Mormeck and suddenly he's going to be in with one of the top guys in the division.

Unlike some recent fights, Klitschko WILL face adversity in this fight at some point, and then we'll see if he panics and reverts to his pre-Steward mentality.

Anything happens in boxing, but that's one thing I don't foresee happening. Pulev fights relaxed (often to the point of being lazy), but Wladimir has mellowed out and calmed down a lot as well. Maybe getting to boink Hayden has something to do with it, who knows. Lately in his fights he's been holding his arms lower as well, almost like he's trying to emulate Vitali's more relaxed and confident style.

The way I see it, Wladimir has had two 'modes' since the first Samuel Peter fight - the annoying one where he freezes up, pushes down and clinches the living shit out of his opponent (Mormeck, Povetkin), and the relaxed, jab-straight style which most of his fans enjoy watching (Rahman, Chagaev, Wach, Pianeta, Leapai). At the worst, a good shot from Pulev might make him revert to the first one.

I think Wladimir can take some joy/confidence out of watching Kubrat Pulev fight Tony Thompson, there are *****s in Pulevs armour to be tooken advantage of.

I think we will need to see the very best of Wladimir on September to see him take the win though, It ain't going to be easy but I'm hoping for a Wladimir KO win to further solidify his resume.

I just watched some of pulevs fights on youtube and he actually defends himself really well. I have a hunch it may go alot like the brock fight where wlad has to find his timing and finally breaks through later in the fight. its definitely not going to be like his last fight. hes going to have to work hard to find his openings against pulev

if pulev had a big punch he'd be very dangerous. Even so it's a much better fight than most wlad fights

Yes that is true, I however don't think Pulev is the best fighter when he is being kept at range.

I can definitely seeing this being a technical warfare however It may benefit Pulev to perhaps start faster than he usually would, I just I'm not sure on how well he'd do with Wladimir coming forward to him.
I'd fancy his chances more If he presses the action and gets early body work in but that will be easier said than done.

He's dealt with big men like Demitrenko and Ustinov absolutely fine but this is a whole different kettle of fish.

Pulev like Brock will have the undefeated factor/confidence to them so Its sure to make for a very good fight regardless of the winner, I'm more worried for the streak to be ended now than I was when Wlad fought Haye.

yea,,,,Im alot more uneasy about this fight than most of his others based on his age and pulevs great stamina. would be bad timing for wlad to finally show his age against a workhorse like pulev. not sure if wlads stamina will be the same
