Thurman has had trouble getting certain match-ups beyond the powers of Showtime and even Haymon. And that is because a bunch of fighters decided to skip Thurman because of risk versus reward, or just because there was no reward in at the time.

Well that's a shame because Keith is a beast in the squared circle. Have a funny feeling Thurman would be a much bigger name by now if he had that hbo machine behind him.

Honestly I've always had respect for Garcia as a fan. The way he beat Lucas was quality but kids in his prime shouldn't be fighting this type of opposition. Especially being the champ at 140. I wonder if he was in fact offered the mayweather fight?

when will boxing ******s on nsb figure out that people dont get or cancel showtime or hbo because of boxing. the vast majority of people at least.

Thurman has just been unlucky. What can HBO do differently? They can't force fighters to fight him. They can throw more money, but Showtime's offers towards fighters have been generous. More generous than HBO at times. Also, remember too that Thurman has been on HBO already.
