Depending on the outcome of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's upcoming fight with Erislandy Lara on July 12, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is very interested in staging a fight between Canelo and Miguel Cotto on Cinco De Mayo weekend (May 2) in 2015.

Cotto is slated to return in the month of December. Back on June 6th, Arum told BoxingScene.com's David Greisman that Timothy Bradley, a former champion at 140 and 147, was a frontrunner to face Cotto.

I expect floyd to jump at the chance to win a belt in a 6th division and elect to fight cotto. In a rematch in september....as for bradley?? Maybe rematch alexander, fight with guerrero khan or maidana all viable options for bradley!

Golden Boy has dibs on the Cino de Mayo date at the MGM. Does Floyd not fight that date or does he change venues if GBP/TR decide to do Canelo/Cotto next year? They almost had a deal done this year, I doubt it would be a hard fight to make.

Nothing for Cotto to gain here. Add Bradley to his resume but really how much weight does that last name really have.

Mayweather stay ducking the rematch hard so he is out of the picture. Canelo is the best second option but again nothing to gain. He has been beaten before and has no title.

I would honestly look at the 168 picture and try to go for another title.

We'll see, i got a pretty good source saying sept. Is very realistic....you ever heard the saying " money talks and bulshiat walks"? If floyd offers cotto the fight for sept, i doubt he turns it down... i mean he barely broke a sweat against a guy no one gave him a chance to beat!!

Rather see him fight Floyd, I wouldn't buy this total mismatch for Cotto. KO round 8 by decapitation.
