  • If he is really a middleweight champ then fight Golovkin. The idea that he is a 4 division champion is absurd. Cotto had never beaten a guy with a title till he beat Martinez, all of his previous title won on "vacant title" matches

Lol there is no "if". When you beat the champ, you become the champ. That's how this game has always worked. He IS the lineal middleweight champ, yet he isnt a true Middleweight.

Look, I like GGG equally with Cotto, but he has to develop his name and that's not Cotto's responsibility. Cotto is soon moving on with life after boxing, yet still wants the tough fights (he just fought Martinez and will fight Floyd or Canelo very soon), but at least tough fights that pay. Nothing wrong with that.

      • People are uninformed if they think Cotto v Bradley won't be VERY competitive (and very exciting). I actually would have it 52/48 favouring Bradley just based on being a fair bit faster in hand and feet and possibly the better boxer. Cotto has more power absolutely, but he's not hurting nor discouraging Bradley so that's sorta insignificant. He has more discipline and experience though and that will help a lot.

If this fight took place after Bradley beat JMM and after Cotto beat Delvin, fans would probably have this in Bradley's favour. So, maybe the timing of the fight is imperfect/off, but the competitiveness of this was always going to be what it is.

He won vacant titles at 140 and 147 true...but he did beat Yuri Foreman who held the WBA at 154 and Martinez for the lineal, Ring and WBC at 160..with that said what champion had Golvkin EVER defeated period?? he did not beat a champion for his title either

So it was ok for Marquez to challenge Bradley at 147 a division where Marquez has no business what so ever except for the Pacquiao fights, but it's not ok for Bradley to go up in weight to challenge Cotto who are about the same size? I wouldn't hold anything against Bradley if he doesn't want to go up in weight but it makes his win against Marquez look a little less then what they made it out to be

Yeah Cotto told Pac to fuck off with 150 catchweight and he will do a catchweight for Bradley

Anyways, Cotto fucks him up, its a **** fight!

On the real, if cotto can't hurt bradley. He won't be able to out box him. As long as Tim doesn't get crazy and try to trade and uses angles I see him pulling out a 116-112 type of win.
Cotto does everything, and I mean everything better than Bradley, horrible style match up for Bradley plus is smaller with no punching power at all. he gets slaughtered

True story, bradley have 0 to no power and on top of that he will be using 10oz gloves, so yeah he wont have any type of power nor a way to keep Cotto of of him. Cotto gives Bradley a huge beating

They are both the same size, cottos an inch taller and bradley has a two inch reach advantage. I think its a joke that it would be for a middleweight title. But thats on Cotto. Its not like he was gonna actually face a true Middleweight IMO anyways.

I think this is a great action packed fight to be made at the highest level of the sport.
Cotto, does everything better, is bigger, stronger, and Bradley is a pillow puncher. Cotto eat those for breakfast. Is a mismatch and a shit fight!
