I didn't even wanna see May/Maidana, even though Maidan is ALWAYS in great FOTY candidates.. or May/Guerrero or Pac/Clottey..
I was clearly pointing at the fact that you are talking about some pattern and overthinking the whole thing, when it simply comes down to the opposition and fans not caring enough to buy the fight, its not just happening with Mayweather.. its happening to all the top PPV draws in the sport. Why would my feelings be hurt? your post seems to come off with more emotion than mine does, but anyway.. The real story is how dry the sport is becoming. once Mayweather, Pacquiao and Cotto retire whos the next PPV attraction? you cant rely on Canelo hes in a awkward spot, all the up and coming Jr Middleweights are stylistic nightmares for Canelo and hes too small for the Middleweight division, hes only 154 because hes husky and built like a bulldog, you can only lose so many times before you arent a PPV demand and I see losses in the near future for Canelo.

sounds like we agree on something.. I blame it all on the sanctioning organizations, promoters.. but mainly TV networks.. they're overpaying instead of spreading the love around and getting exposure out there to rising stars.. and not hype stars like broner.. and berto.. million dollars for undercard fights..

We can blame Al Haymon for the Broners and Bertos of the Boxing world but at the same time theres no union to protect the fighters, so it sucks for us fans but Haymon is great for the FIGHTERS. He takes care of them, gets em on TV networks for their biggest payday. I blame the sanctioning organizations aswell.. if we had 1 champion in each division it would be easier to establish a PPV star, and alot of fans dont realize that the network cold war is worse than the TR and GB cold war, especially when fans finally saw that Richard leaving GB doesnt mean a damn thing when you consider all the fighters from GB that make for interesting matchups are Haymon fighters, not GB fighters, and HBO doesnt do business with Al Haymon.

Thats the life of a hardcore Boxing fan, we watch any fight thats on TV and pray and hope that others(like casuals) arent tuned in and voting with their wallets while we're watching. The sad thing is that Broner could have been something at LW due to his size advantage, he would have either been too big, too quick, or too strong for whoever they put infront of him. Berto.... I guess he has heart.

If I was a boxer I would have fighting Pacquiao being my goal. He pays more than floyd

I truly believe nowadays fighters want Mayweather for the chance to actually beat him, and the purse doesnt hurt ofcourse. They see what the previous fighter did, and what he didnt/could've done and they try to implement it but problem is Mayweather adjusts to whatever their gameplan is by the night of the fight. Also, chances are you wont come out with your face all beat up fighting Mayweather as oppose to Pacquaio, so its a less painful night of work.

It's a lot easier to fight Floyd then any other boxer. Even if you lose you are guaranteed not to get hurt, your face won't get messed up, and won't be feeling pain the next day.

Floyd Would Love A Soft Hitter Like Algie

Algie can't finish against Provo in a rematch.

Thats bold. I can counter that by saying Chris will outbox Ruslan better than he did the first time now that hes saw him, which fighter do you think would adjust better the 2nd go around? Ruslan was basically crying saying he cant handle boxers, and outside of the 1st round Chris was never in danger of being stopped or seriously hurt.
