    sturm WINS

damn tito wants winner of dlh/hopkins...now sturm...aww do u guys smell it...drama is coming
    ________________________________________________

Former WBO middleweight champion Felix Sturm maintained his reputation as one of the top-3 fighters in his weight class with a unanimous points decision victory over American Robert Frazier in Leverkusen, Germany tonight. The victory keeps the 25-year-old German on track for a meeting with the winner of the Oscar De La Hoya/Bernard Hopkins clash which takes place in Las Vegas later this evening.

A sell-out 3,500 crowd turned out to watch Sturm put on an intelligent display of boxing which earned him the WBO International title.
After twelve rounds the three judges Andre van Grotenbruel (Belgium), Robin Dolpierre (France) and Reynaldo Cadero (Italy) scored the contest 116:112, 119:109 and 117:111 in favour of Sturm.

“Facing the winner of the de la Hoya-Hopkins fight is what I really want now”, said the former WBO champion.

“I beat Oscar in June and I should be the one who is fighting a rematch against him tonight or fight against Hopkins for the title.”

Well, if Tito lose to Mayorga, then he's out of the picture.

Did anybody see the preview for Tito and Mayorga after the PPV tonight? It was one of the most cheaply put together and downright lamest promo's that I have ever seen!

Props to Sturm on the win, I think he is gonna have more luck looking for a rematch with Oscar then he will getting a shot at Hopkins though.

Sturm needs to beat one or two 160 lb. guys with a name Americans recognize - probably in America. A William Joppy or a Robert Allen or Raul Marquez would do - but someone that Hopkins or De La Hoya or Taylor has beaten. Staying at home and winning fights will not earn him a big money bout.

And I know he already beat DLH, but it's a "L" in the record books against the only opponent than anyone but the biggest diehard boxing fans would immediately recognize.

If he beats a couple Top 10 guys, maybe there's money in a fight for a rematch with Oscar or a fight with Hopkins. But there's too many names out there right now of guys fighting each other. Sturm needs to get in the mix.

Right now Sturm doesnt deserve a match with Hopkins and Hopkins will not give it to him. He beat an out of shape DLH and he couldnt even finish him. Hopkins would destroy Sturm.

Let's see for Hopkins 20th defense, Hopkins vs. Sturm or Hopkins vs. winner of Tito/Mayorga. That is not much of a decision to me. Hopkins beats all of them.
