Time to promote a big fight

How much time is needed for Floyd to announce his next opponent for Sept? And how much time does the new promoter need to promote Floyd's big fight? To me it seems like Floyd is cutting it close time wise if he's using a new promoter and not GBP in Sept. What does everyone think about it?

Well according to Floyd, "a fight takes 6 months to promote"

Floyd won't fight this september. He will fight Lara in May.

Sure. And GGG won't fight this year either, he will fight Ward next year. This is fun stating things with no evidence/reasoning.

I'm using common sense. We are in Late June and we are approaching July. That is 2 months from september. I don't believe Mayweather would take that long and announce he is fighting in september on 2 months notice. It just doesn't sound right. Common sense. Think about it.

so what common sense says May vs Lara though? lmao

GGG vs Ward has a better chance than that fight

You do know too right that Floyd announced his poll winner of Khan/Maidana really close to his fight date as well right. It's only a little passed mid June, he can announce an opponent end of June and still have July/Aug to train like he did for his fight in May (thus making him seem like an even bigger idiot for stating "it takes 6 months to promote a fight").

lmao he announced Maidana Saturday March 8th, 2014 and fought Sat May 3rd 2014, (even less than 2 months) so what are you talking about it's "too close". Get some evidence before you spit things out kid.

I think when Lara fights Canelo and Beats him, It will end the dumb hopes of Alvarez vs Cotto and Mayweather Can use this time to relax and rest up. Fight twice in 2015 instead, when the options are better. Golovkin will retire Cotto in december in front of all his adoring fans at madison square garden.
