Could THIS Be the Reason Why Shawn Porter Hasn't Signed the Contract to Fight Brook?

And lots of UK athletes, and US athletes, when they are banned by UKAD or USADA, they are hit with tough sanctions. Two years is common. So I don't think it's that harsh because of how it's done for so many. Not like they are just singling him out.
It seems harsh when you see American fighters getting next to no punishment for using proper PEDs.

            • Wow, these boards have come a long way. Perfectly legit now to wonder if a person is avoiding PED testing. Four years ago, a fighter asking for testing might as well have been asking for head, or asking for random AIDS tests like the TS said back then. Now I see cats like checkhooks screaming, "Test him!" every time someone utters the word "Marquez." Strange world.

Anyway, it's a legit subject for discussion that doesn't need to be wrapped in a British vs. America debate. I think there's no question that the British Boxing Board of Control is well ahead of the USA when it comes to drug testing. Most of Europe is, for that matter. Doesn't mean all of their fighters are clean, but they actually try to sniff the guilty out. We don't really try here so whenever a fighter is averse to some form of stricter testing, I call bull****. I seriously doubt that any hold up here is related to the drug testing but if it is Porter's image would take a well-deserved hit.

I've never been against random testing or extra testing to be employed across the board. I didn't like the spirit in which it was requested by Mayweather's team. They basically started a public smear campaign about Pacquiao before making the request.

Instead of discretely and privately discussing it in the negotiations for the fight as has been done by Eddie Hearn/Team Brook and countless others. Most people here don't even know that Abraham has it in his contract because it was done discreetly. It wasn't an attempted publicity stunt.

If Porter doesn't want to accept the testing, then fine. I couldn't care less. Drop the belt.

Did Abraham have random blood testing prior to March 2010? If so, source?

Every boxing median member reported that Mayweather was the first big pro fighter to request random blood testing (Mosley fight).

HBO 24/7 even covered it (I'm sure you hate Showtime).

Are you telling me "Dirk Diggler UK" is more knowledgable than professional boxing writers?
