I stopped scoring the fight, after the 6th round, but something to the tune of 117-111 or 116-112 seems about right.

Edit: Earlier rounds were competitive but they were dependant on Russell's quickness and work rate. As he dulled he lost much of what allowed him to stay in the fight, meaning the cleaner work of Lomachenko allowed him to establish control of the fight.

The fight is a good example of quality beating quantity.

I had the fight dead even after 10. Loma won 11 and 12 on my card.
115-113 Loma. I was rooting for Loma heavily but was throughly impressed with russell. He has a great chin, and the fastest hands in the buisness. His distance, timing and lack of a higer caliber of opponents hurt him last night. People don't want to give russell credit but his speed handcuffed and frustrated Loma at times. Loma figured his timing and distance out late in the fight. He would beat Russel much easier if they rematched. Its time for Russell to get uncomfortable. He needs to fight top guys. Learn how to set up his shots better. The other 24 guys he beat by overwhelming them with speed.

This was a highly competitive fight despite what people are saying, Loma barely edged some of the rounds, it was far from a dominating performance lmao. People keep saying Russel's punches didn't have much effect, but neither did Loma's, his punches had crazy velocity and at times he landed at will, but face it, they were all for looks, if the guy had power he'd have KTFO of him, no way GRJ could take that punishment.

Some Loma fans had him beating Saldio, so I'm not even surprised.

I had it something like 10-2 or 9-3 for Loma. It wasn't even close IMO, Russell only won a few pitty rounds where Loma took his foot off the pedal and played defense.

Yea you're right, those body punches had no effect on Russell at all. His body language never indicated that whatsoever.

I'd say watch the fight again but I don't think that would matter in your case.

lmao, how? Because Loma didn't KO Russell, even though he outclassed him offensively and defensively throughout the rounds, it was a competitive fight in your mind? I guess Russell won some of those rounds on your scorecard solely because he didn't touch the canvas.....
