Korobov is fighting a very decent looking fellow prospect Uzcategui next weekend who is a power puncher and actually a pretty good opponent to prepare for Quillin. He needs to get past him first but if he does Matvey and Quillin would be a very interesting matchup.

Andddd? Look what's happening tonight. An Al Haymon fighter is fighting a Bob Arum fighter for a WBO belt. This fight will happen and Ducklin will finally get stripped

I like it. Uzcategui is a big boy with some decent power. He's nothing yet, but win or lose I'd like to see him get tested afterwards and not just fall off to the wayside... Even a Gilberto Ramirez fight....don't know how long he can stay at MW because he's big

Yes if he wins and becomes mandatory Quillin would have to fight him. We'll see how he looks next weekend but i do think he has the skill and style to beat Quillin.

Looked back at his earlier stuff... looked like such a beast.... then the layoffs.

But I see it happening. Bob will pressure the WBO to make it, Quillin hasn't made a mandatory defense since he got it, and that'll kill the Lemuix fight

They were in talks prior to the Guerrero fight but his promoter said they turned down Lemieux afterwards probably looked to dangerous. Didn't think about it but you're right Rosado and Konecny weren't mandatories so hopefully they'll demand it take place right away it would be a good fight.

What happened to Saunders being #1 thought he was going to become mandatory after he fought that Italian Olive Oil distributor he was fighting?

                  Just WBO being WBO.

I had heard there was a rumor of that fight being on the Hopkins/Stevenson card. Lemuix even turned down an IBF final eliminator earlier...

konecny was a #2 and was never mandated, so i'm pretty sure that's a voluntary.

Saunders... you could chalk it up to inactivity and Korobov fighting before him... or the WBO just doing what they do

Lulz Against Sturm in Germany after losing to Soliman he gets another eliminator right away. Lemieux should have still taken it even if he didn't want to travel especially now with Quillin backing out and other contenders likely unwilling to voluntarily face him due to the high risk style he presents.
