    punches or headbutt?

    what really cause the damage to Vargas eye?
    HBO normally show a replay of when the punch or headbutt happen, but I dont remember seeing this.
    just wondering if it was a punch or a headbutt

    We've already argued this and we came to the conclusion that it was from a punch in the first round. There might have been some headbutting later on but it seemed as if Vargas was the instigator for the most part because he was leading with his head. Thefore the initial damage done to the eye happened in the first round from a punch.

      yeah I kinda figured that, I wonder why HBO did not replay it
      oh well still a close fight

      who remembers the dlh boxing world cup type of thing he did

      the last bout was fernando montiel , he was beating the other fighter the whole fight and his eyes was just as bad as Vargas's Eye and they let the fight go to the 12th and finish on the cards

      I think Joe should have allowed Vargas to continue , but I aint gonna lie, it was bad

        Yeah, it was bad. It might be easy for Vargas to say he could have defended himself now that he is out of the ring..
