Idiot!Kelly Pavlik pleaded guilty earlier this week to a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated for an incident dating back to last December, according to the Youngstown (Ohio) Vindicator.
He was sentenced to 12 months of probation, must pay court costs, and must choose between spending three days in jail or instead taking part in a three-day intervention program for people who drove drunk.

Exacty. No way he should have retired at 30 yrs, arguably the absolute pinnacle for a pro fighter (except for heavies who usually have their prime a few years later).
This man should be fighting today, instead he's going through courts for alcohol related offenses. Get this man back into rehab whoever are his closest loved ones.Comment

Yeah man I miss Pavlik, the artical reminded me hes only 32! Such a waste. That's too bad.
He was a fun fighter to watch. not the most physically gifted in terms of speed and reflexes, but he hit hard and had a good workrate. He had a pretty nice variety in his arsenal. Throwing uppercuts off the hook, for instance.
I'm not surprised though. Back when he got out of rehab, he seemed like he was in denial. A couple of writers said the same thing.
Get it together Kelly.Comment

Damn that sucks. I wish Kelly could get it together. He still has time.
He was legit...He could punch,take a punch,good stamina,long arms,etc
I am a big fan of Kelly and, I think he needs boxing more than ever.Comment

Bummed to hear about this. I was a big fan of his when he was fighting. The way he destroyed Eddison Miranda and Jermain Taylor was legendary! He definitely had some magic back then and it's a shame to see that he's struggling with alcohol.Comment
